... that nurtures
the birth of great wines. Wide-open horizons, long hours of exposure
to sun, strong contrasts in climate and an ancient tradition of
winemaking. The Ribera del Duero, on the high northern plains of
Castile, seems to have been created to give birth to wines of great
quality.
Our vineyards are located between 750 and 900 metres above sea level,
on our region's gentle hills. The poor limestone soil, with sedimentary
deposits made up of trenches of sand, silt and clay, receives an
annual rainfall of some 500 mm. |
