At Bodegas Peñafiel we combine tradition with new technologies, to
obtain high quality wines that reflect the characteristics of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. Our experience is associated with the self-demand of each year to produce the best wines. We elaborate each plot separately, distributed throughout the Denomination of Origin and harvested by hand at the right moment of maturity, according to the specifications of our winemaker. The key to this is the follow-up work we carry out on each plot throughout the year.

Located in an unbeatable setting, in the heart of the Golden Mile and under the watchful eye of the Castle of Peñafiel, we strive every day to offer our most careful and intimate interpretation of the art of winemaking. The materialization of an ancestral art, of an almost arcane knowledge, which we have wanted to express with each of our wines.

We carry out 2 grape selections, the first one in the field and the second one at the entrance to the winery, where the grapes that do not meet our quality standards are eliminated. We prioritize the quality and typicity of each “terroir” so that our main variety, Tempranillo, shows its maximum potential, which is why fermentations are carried out with native yeasts, in a natural way.
