La Milla de Miros keeps the essence of La Ribera del Duero captive. Made from a selection of centenary vines cultivated in goblet, which with their intricate arms expose their precious clusters to the sun with genius. After destemming, the smallest grains were used, after being selected one by one. It rests for 48 months in very fine grain French oak barrels. Limited Edition Vintage Wine.

GRAPES

Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) from our La Horra vineyard.

HARVEST

Late harvest, usually in mid-October, in 12 kg boxes, which are kept in cold storage for 48 hours at less than 7ºC. Only clusters from the best quality areas are selected in the vineyard.

ELABORATION

Once in the winery, the grapes are passed through a cluster selection table, gently destemmed and then selected berry by berry.

FERMENTATION

Alcoholic – Fermented for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 30ºC in new 500-liter open French oak barrels. A 52-hour cold pre-maceration is carried out in an inert atmosphere to extract aromatic fruit compounds from the grape skins. Malolactic – For 45 days it remains in new 225-liter French oak barrels with its fine lees, with a gentle battonage twice a week.

BARRELS

Aged in new, very fine grain French oak barrels for 48 months.

TASTING NOTES

Wine of very high layer, intense cherry red color with violet hues. Nose with aromas of stewed red fruits, blackberries, pepper, coffee and toffee. Slight hints of violets and minerals. Very well integrated aromas with spicy touches after its long aging in French oak. The palate is dense, fleshy, powerful and persistent, very balanced with the elegance and power typical of our Ribera del Duero.
