Cherry red color with violet hues. Fresh nose, with aromas of redcurrants, plums and blackberries. Slight hints of violets and truffles. The wood is very well integrated into the wine, providing a background of roasted coffee notes that denote its gentle ageing in oak barrels. Round, powerful and lively on the palate.
GRAPES
Tinta fina (Tempranillo) and Merlot.
HARVEST
Harvested at optimum ripeness, in the cool of the night with a mechanical grape harvester to preserve its freshness to the maximum.
ELABORATION
Once in the winery, the grapes go through a grain sorting table, followed by a gentle destemming and crushing.
FERMENTATION
Alcoholic – Cold maceration is carried out for 60 hours. in an inert atmosphere to extract aromatic fruit compounds from grapes. Fermented for 10 days at a controlled temperature of 24°C in 17,000-liter truncated cone-shaped tanks, with a post-fermentation maceration of about 15 days. Malolactic – For 20 days it remains in tank with its fine lees, with a gentle bâtonnage to increase its volume in the mouth.
BARRELS
Aged in French and American oak barrels for 20 weeks.
